Recipe : Mrs. Crow's Hot Cakes

Mrs. Crow’s Hot Cake

Ingredients:
1 egg – beat well
1 tbsp sugar
1 c buttermilk (may substitute ¾ c milk with enough sour cream or yoghurt to make 1 c)
¼ tsp baking soda
1 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
* 2 tsp melted butter (optional)
* ½ tsp vanilla (optional)
Sift above 3 into mixture. Mix well. Add 1 to 2 tbsp canola oil in hot griddle and cook as usual.
